Forced running is an advanced out-of-home-cage feature that exposes animals to defined exercise schedules. Combined with the TSE Systems indirect calorimetry module (CaloSys), the forced wheel examines the direct relationship between exercise and energy expenditure. A highly controlled environment allows detailed correlation between work performed and energy expended.
